My idea for trying new loan players has aways been for EA to make the current TOTW players available for 2-3. This would allow for people to try out fun new players, and it would also give EA a way to sell more packs. Think about something that you have gotten a taste of but it was only for a short time.
You may have fallen in love with it, and then you will be more inclined to either purchase the packs or go after the player on the market. It is a good incentive for loyal players, and there is no way it will hurt EA, as the people who always want IFs will still Buy FUT 16 Coins, but those who are on the fence about whether the IF is worth it will now get a test drive.
Those players who want a test drive may not have bought a single pack in search of an inform before, so adding this taste, especially for players out of their budget may lead to them purchasing packs. It is a win win for EA and us. We get a guaranteed little treat every week to look forward to, and EA would undoubtedly sell more packs, and maybe even more copies of the game.
Hell, if they want to make it a special version like the Ultimate Edition this year, I would probably be happier having spent the extra money on guaranteed loan IFs than I am with the overwhelmingly disappointing weekly pack.
I remember when I was looking to buy a new snowmobile to replace my aging one that most every major company would let you take whatever model you wanted out for a day long test ride. I ended up buying my Skidoo Summit over the Polaris RMK because I test rode both and the Skidoo, even though slightly more expensive, was a better ride for me and worth the extra money.
