I don't think you know what scripting means, what you're describing is a predetermined outcome. Script as in coding, not movie script. Scripting is changing the code to affect the odds of something happening. Say you're down 1 goal, late in the game. I personally believe the cpu will enhance your odds of scoring, whether it be through increased shot accuracy, enhanced AI controlled players, etc.
Handicap is different. That's the belief that an extremely high rated team will perform worse than their stats suggest to allow low rated teams a better chance of competing. OP only mentions handicapping once, and doesn't outright call it scripting either.
I am completely ok with "momentum". However, I would really appreciate it if EA disclosed it in the manual for each release, and that a little indicator onscreen made me aware of when the momentum shifts. I little -1, 0, +1 flashes near the players name at the bottom, and instead of me going all out to score an equalizing goal while suffering bad momentum, I can play it safe for a few minutes until the game tells me the "momentum" is no longer hampering my players and then go on the offensive.
This "momentum" makes a lot of sense. For me, I give up (strange, random, scripted etc) goals in bunches. Usually within 3 minutes of arguable goal going in, another goes in, and it does feel like my passes we poor, my players were slower, or my tackles were awful. A little notice is all I need so that I can at least minimize damage until momentum shifts back.
For me when the shit gets really really out of control and its just totally dominating and ruining the experience and not allowing me to do anything I just switch everything to full manual (usually play on everything semi) and slowly try to grab the Cheap FUT 16 Coins. In the fut birthday cup online i was down 0-4 in a game I was completely dominating and it was driving me crazy and I wanted to pull my hair out. I made the switch to manual in the 65th min and tied it up 4-4 and then won it extra time 6-4. It changed everything and I was back in control.
There is definitely a momentum factor in the game, and i feel it kick on and of at key moments in the game, 90th minute magic is certainly a thing.
but this can be counteracted. if i feel the momentum swing in my opponents favor, i do everything i can to slow down build up and maintain possession to get things back to square. if you can pass around for a good 30 seconds in real time, you will be able to reset any sort of tilt the game has created and get things back to neutral.
