The worst part about improving career mode is that anyone who plays career mode probably has dozens of ideas to make it better that just seem so obvious. It doesn't even have to be major improvements, just make sure the youth academy and player growth functions properly, improve transfers and scouting networks (because that's a joke), and please, fix those embarrassing media stories.
Also, adding international management was probably a good idea at heart, but it was so poorly executed it's just a nuisance. At least give me the option to turn it off so I don't keep getting asked to be India's coach 3 times a season, and the media speculates "Mr. Manager is in advanced talks with the India National team." No, I most certainly am not. I've turned them down 3 times. At least give me a REASON to want to manage an international team besides the novelty of it.
I would want to see the Youth Academy player growth bugs fixed. Make is so that players who get signed to the first team and play a bunch of matches in good form improve not only their skills, but their fitness and physical stats as well. Also the academy players should grow year round, not just on May 1st.
One problem I have with player career is that it seems that the team that you are on never loses games. I was loaned to Carlisle United and we were first in the league despite having terrible players. We lost two games all season Cup quarterfinal to Spurs, and the FA cup final to Liverpool.
I'd love a bit more financial freedom- the financial takeover in this years is cool, but you can't redeem it more than once, and it's a pitiful amount. I think it'd be great fun to choose your transfer budget to a degree- I really like doing a 'started from the bottom' type thing, taking a club from league 2 (like Plymouth Argyle) up to the premiership with a £200m transfer budget could be good fun.
I like FUT, but I am not the guy that can sit a whole day and play FUT. I need variation. I haven't played FUT in a while, but plan to start again once TOTY hits live, and of course buy some packs -.-... The mode is fun, but Fifa shouldn't treat FUT like their absolute favorite. Then they should just give out a new game focusing entirely on FUT instead.
For instance, In my PRO Career, I started at Bristol City (or some other League 1 team - actually can't remember) where I quickly became the one, who was taking the all the Cheap FUT 16 Coins. But since my teammates weren't that great, I ,therefor, didn't get that many assists on corners, etc.
When I then, after two seasons, made the "big money move" to the Premier League, I weren't allowed to take the corners since I had low ratings in those stats. And since you can't really get any better without actually taking the corners, it's kind of an vicious circle you can't get out of.
I sim games sometimes, close to a transfer-window where I can't wait. But mostly I play them myself. However, on my Liverpool Manager now I think simming would be better then letting me play. I can't work the formations out with my summer signings and It's not going as I had hoped.
